All Care Homes must be registered, regulated and inspected with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) who publish the Care Homes inspection reports on their website to ensure Care Homes comply with the ‘Essential Standards of quality and safety’.

All staff employed must have clearance checks from the Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA) and Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) to ensure they are safe to work with vulnerable people before commencing employment.

Care home providers must be registered by CQC. Their staff must pass relevant security checks and undertake a mandatory training programme covering all aspects of care.

Care Homes are regularly inspected by other government agencies including:

  • Lancashire County Council
  • The Fire Brigade
  • The Food Standards Agency

We work in accordance with:

  • The Department Of Health Infection Control Policy
  • The Department Of Health Deprivation Of Liberty Safeguards

A pharmacist regularly audits us, which enables us to gain accreditation.
