We are a family owned and operated group of care homes in the Lytham St Annes area. We opened our first care home in 1987 with a clear emphasis on providing high quality residential care with a focus on treating each resident with the same value, dignity and pride we would expect our own family to recieve. This attitude has allowed us to grow without sacrificing that personal touch and family feel.

One of the key issues of operating quality care homes over a sustained period is to avoid taking our residents for granted. We constantly re-invest to ensure all our homes provide uncompromising comfort and excellence in care.

We are about to enter into an exciting new period for the company, with the introduction of our new home. This will be a purpose built care facility with unrivalled design, decor, and location on the Fylde Coast.

Working from a blank canvas, we have tried to bring a real fun-factor to the new home by incorporating a cinema, a spa/salon, hydrotherapy room, games room, library, an indoor bowling green and an indoor putting green. We’re bringing 5-star hotel principles into residential care.

The new home will be a great addition to the group, providing high quality facilities, whilst staying true to our original ethos which brought us success with our first home.

Further this new project will create 50 new permanent jobs in the local area, keeping Lakeview Rest Homes Ltd at the heart of the community.

This experience has allowed me to support Lakeview and the continued drive for customer focussed service, this work includes building a strong team to be even stronger by developing the skills, behaviours and vision to deliver to the highest-standards. This will lead to improved confidence for staff and better input for residents and their families to ensure we continue to provide compassionate and dignified care in an ever stimulating and comfortable environment.

Gina KiddI want to utilise my succesful track record of managing a large care home as a General Manager with a focus on The Moorings

With an MA in social work and experience of adult domiciliary care, mental health and older people, within a variety of settings, I have an in-depth understanding of relevant legislation, procedures and techniques required to work with people who have complex needs. I also have an extensive knowledge of health and social work principles, techniques and practices and their application in care home and community settings.

It is with these skills I am passionate about providing care with dignity and respect, which empowers and maximizes our resident’s involvement. To achieve this I work with our team to develop new procedures, new care and operational documentation which are effective and person-centred.

By providing person-centred care we ensure each person living with us afforded the space and respect with the opportunity to make choices, to maintain their independence and self-respect.

I have recently joined the team at Lakeview Rest homes. I have a track-record of managing the delivery of care in to large care homes.

I possess the compassion and an in-depth knowledge of person centred care complimented with the requirements needed to meet regulation guidelines. I have gained knowledge through practice of medical conditions and the impact on daily living as well as a sound understanding of medication administration and other clinical areas.

I enjoy motivating and leading team members to be successful and expand their knowledge to provide the highest standards of care for residents. I strive to ensure our teams value each resident and work with residents’ friends and families to build lasting relationships and ensure they have as much time as they require to meet our resident’s needs.

Jane Hearne

I have worked at Lakeview for 14 years and this is my home away from home.

For me it is a requirement for every member of staff to be as passionate and committed as I am, to providing the best quality of life to our residents. In fact this approach was mentioned when we qualified as regional finalists for the “North West Care Team of the Year” in the “Great British Care Awards”.

We have a loyal staff base who give the residents continuity of care and a feeling of safety and security. We treat every resident here as an individual and empower people to do as much or as little as they are able. One resident enjoys washing up while another enjoys going to the Lake to buy ice-creams for all her friends. Lakeview is all about living the life you want , supported by people who care about you.

There is a loving, homely environment where my staff spend the time to have a chat with you, and hugs here are plentiful!

We try to push the boundaries with our activities and trips out have included Windermere this summer. Our next excursion we are planning is to an art exhibition.

Spending a few hours in our homely, warm environment should give you the reassurance you need when finding a care home.

I started working with Lakeview Rest Homes over 14 years ago as a Care Assistant and I was given the opportunity and trust to develop and moved through the ranks to a senior, a deputy and now manager of Newfield Lodge.

Throughout that time I have seen the needs of residents develop and change and I have been lucky to be part of adapting to that change which recently included the building development, staff training and change that turned Newfield Lodge in to a Luxury Dementia Care Home.

I have been proud to develop a team that played a part in ensuring our home has a focus on sensory and stimulation for our residents suffering with dementia. This has included many of the features such as the appropriate furnishings, to the development of sensory tools such as the sweet stall, the bus stop and the sensory room.

All of this has been in line with our everyday goals of ensuring our residents are happy, secure and looked after as we would wish our own family looked after.

Fiona Fox

Customer service excellence is integral to me in my role as group general manger, I ensure good training is upheld to enable us to deliver this great service. I work closely with the managers on a daily basis focusing on outstanding service achievement.

I’m a passionate individual who has worked hard to build and maintain my reputable name in my local area. I have formed good professional relationships with other health professionals they recognise that my service represents ‘quality’. With a passion for caring for others, I am committed to ensuring each and every one of my residents receive the best possible standard of care, which is tailored to their individual needs, promoting independence and truly person centred.
