Rosewood Lodge

Classic Living

Rosewood Lodge was opened in 1987 and was the first home on the Fylde Coast to have all en suite facilities. It opened with the ethos of care that continues to run through the group now, to treat every resident as you would wish your family to be treated

Rosewood Lodge is a traditionally furnished home overlooking the sea and sand dunes in the 19th century Edwardian town of  St Anne’s-on-the-Sea, a traditional seaside resort with floral displays, up-market hotels, a sandy beach, donkeys, a small pier and ice cream stalls.

Since opening in 1987 it has provided high quality care for individuals. With the principle that our residents do not live in our workplace, we work in their home, the ethos ensures person-centred care suited to the needs of each individual, rather than a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach. We also prefer to treat every resident as we would wish our family member to be treated.

Recently re-designed and refurbished Rosewood Lodge benefits from specialised communal areas, bathing facilities and en-suite bedrooms. The large gardens lend themselves well to many of our activities including summer garden parties; BBQs, (where residents play their part in fundraising for their chosen worthy causes), as well as being a safe open space.

Our activity co-ordinator ensures that meaningful and relevant activity is a daily occurrence and includes activities outside of the home. Relatives and friends are often invited to participate. Rosewood is also famous locally for its elaborate Christmas lights display.

The key to achieving our principles, we ensure our teams value each resident and work with residents’ friends and families to build lasting relationships and ensure they have as much time as they require to meet our resident’s needs. In doing this we are providing compassionate and dignified care for our most vulnerable members of society when they need it most. The strength of this team is its dedication to its residents through clear direction. They work hard to ensure they pay attention to detail when caring for their residents and ensure a personal experience.

“There was an opportunity to observe the care provided to the service users and the interaction between them and the staff, which was all very positive”…
