Take me some place where there’s music and laughter

This lounge is a tribute to the great Gerald W. Bright (and his Majestic Celebrity Orchestra) who played a five-year residency at The Majestic Hotel, actually making his first radio broadcast from The Majestic. He later adopted the name Geraldo, and it is by this name that he is most famously known.

The Geraldo’s piano lounge is one for all music lovers. Dedicated to Gerald W. Bright the main feature of this elegant room is the digital baby grand piano – on which you can showcase your piano playing skills or learn how to play.

Gerald Walcan Bright
Gerald Walcan Bright, better known as Geraldo (10 August 1904 – 4 May 1974) was an English bandleader.

He adopted the name “Geraldo” in 1930 to become one of the most popular British dance band leaders of the 1930s with his “sweet music” and his “Gaucho Tango Orchestra”.

During the 1940s, he modernized his style to continue enjoying great success.

In the 1920s, after leading several small groups he formed his own orchestra (Gerald W. Bright and his Majestic Celebrity Orchestra) and played a five-year residency at the Hotel Majestic, St Annes making his first radio broadcast from there.
