Rosewood Lodge

Rosewood Lodge is a traditionally furnished home overlooking the sea and sand dunes in the 19th century Edwardian town of  St Anne’s-on-the-Sea, a traditional seaside resort with floral displays, up-market hotels, a sandy beach, donkeys, a small pier and ice cream stalls.

Since opening in 1987 it has provided high quality care for individuals. With the principle that our residents do not live in our workplace, we work in their home, the ethos ensures person-centred care suited to the needs of each individual, rather than a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach. We also prefer to treat every resident as we would wish our family member to be treated.

Recently re-designed and refurbished Rosewood Lodge benefits from specialised communal areas, bathing facilities and en-suite bedrooms. The large gardens lend themselves well to many of our activities including summer garden parties; BBQs, (where residents play their part in fundraising for their chosen worthy causes), as well as being a safe open space.

Our activity co-ordinator ensures that meaningful and relevant activity is a daily occurrence and includes activities outside of the home. Relatives and friends are often invited to participate. Rosewood is also famous locally for its elaborate Christmas lights display.

The key to achieving our principles, we ensure our teams value each resident and work with residents’ friends and families to build lasting relationships and ensure they have as much time as they require to meet our resident’s needs. In doing this we are providing compassionate and dignified care for our most vulnerable members of society when they need it most. The strength of this team is its dedication to its residents through clear direction. They work hard to ensure they pay attention to detail when caring for their residents and ensure a personal experience.

Kate Chadwick

I am the Manager at Rosewood Lodge and I started my career at the age of 16. I’m a real softie when it comes to our residents, I believe that they deserve the best care in the world as I wouldn’t be where I am without them.

I am known as ‘Miss Stability’ to the Lakeview family as I have been with the company for 19 years. I have a Level 3 & 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care.

I am a great believer that everyone has the right to feel valued, important and useful whatever our age may be. That’s why I chose to stay at Rosewood Lodge as they share the same values.

I worked in retail for 20 years before deciding to do something that actually mattered – that’s why I came into the care sector. Both of my grandmothers were in care homes so I can relate to and support the whole family of the individuals in my care.

I hold a Level 4 in Health & Social Care.

I am a Senior Carer at Rosewood Lodge and I have worked here for just over 2 years. I have worked in care for 10 years now and I cannot think of a job I enjoy more.

I have a level 2 and 3 diploma in Health and Social Care and I am currently studying level 5 in Leadership and Management in HSC.

I love working at Rosewood Lodge because of the homely atmosphere. Some care homes feel quite clinical, but at Rosewood it feels more of an actual home with care provided. The staff team are conscientious and we work together as a team to provide quality care to the elderly.
