The Moorings is a purpose built, state of the art, contemporary home specially designed to provide the very best of care and a lifestyle choice for the active resident who wants to reside in luxury but comfortable surroundings.

Overlooking the sea and sand dunes in the 19th century Edwardian town of St Anne’s-on-the-Sea, a traditional seaside resort with floral displays, up-market hotels, a sandy beach and ice cream stalls it is within walking distance of St Anne’s Pier as well as the shopping “Square” opposite the pier. It is complemented by substantial, well stocked gardens, with consideration given to ensure there are plenty of seating areas to sit inside or outside to enjoy the views, the sea air, the scents and the rolling weather.

Many of the spacious, high quality bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities, offer views overlooking the sea, the gardens and an Italian style garden. It also offers residents restaurant style dining, a cinema, salon and an indoor bowling green.

With many seating areas, a library and lounges residents can choose to relax or take advantage of the extensive range of activities and make use of a range of facilities, including trips in the vintage motor car.

Jo Wallace

Having worked for the last 10 years in providing Retirement Living apartments for clients over the age of 55 with extra care 24/7 on site to suit individual needs, it was very rewarding to have been appointed the Business Development Co-ordinator for Lakeview Rest Homes in early October 2018.

My first impressions when I joined was what exceptional accommodation and how dedicated and caring were the team, everyone had a part to play in making the residents feel comfortable and at home. It made me realise that this is how I would want my loved ones to be cared for.

My main role is to work closely with families and friends in supporting our present and future residents, in making sure that they receive the most suitable accommodation and we can provide the care and support that’s required to make their stay as enjoyable and homely as possible.

I also will be involved in actively promoting and marketing all 4 of our care homes by working closely with the team and engaging in campaigns, events and engaging with the local community to raise the profile of Lakeview Rest Homes.



Allison Todd

I  joined Lakeview Rest Homes as the Customer Service Advisor in February 2018. I come with 15 years experience in the care sector and I have a Level 5 in Health & Social Care Management.

I love meeting and greeting the visitors to the home and getting to know the residents. I am here to make sure the residents’ experience is a happy one.

Rachel Thomas

I am the Activities Co-Ordinator for all four of the homes at Lakeview Rest Homes Ltd. I started my career as a Care Assistant at The Moorings in 2018 and when I got to know the residents I volunteered a few times to sing for them. When there was an opening for a new Activities Co-Ordinator I knew that I had to go for it as I have a passion for working with and assisting elderly persons as well as strong organisational skills.

I’m love bringing my fresh ideas to my exciting role.


Donna Shaw

I am the Operational Support Assistant for Lakeview Rest Homes. I have been here for over two years and I feel really blessed to be part of a team that works so hard and well together.

I provide any support the Operations Manager Gina may require across a wide range of areas affecting the business which includes accounts. I also provide support to our Business Development Co-Ordinator Jo with marketing strategies and literature.

I really enjoy maintaining the Company website and the Company’s profile pages.


Lois Pell

I have been the Receptionist at The Moorings since June 2019. My duties include dealing with all telephone and face to face queries and keeping all the administration completely up to date.

With experience of working with individuals requiring support in their own homes and personal experience of supporting family members living with dementia I feel able to communicate and empathise with our residents and their family members in a really positive way. I look forward to welcoming guests and visitors alike to The Moorings.


Antonio Santos Hernandez

I am the Restaurant Manager at The Moorings and I love my job. My duties include the preparation of the restaurant and serving the food.

I am from Tenerife and moved to St Annes 5 years ago. I have 42 years’ experience as a Caterer, Restaurant Manager and Head Chef. I am proud of the relationships I have built with the residents.


Claire Burke

I have been Head Chef at The Moorings for two years now. I prepare and cook nutritious meals for our residents, meeting any dietary requirements necessary.

I have an NVQ Level 3 in Culinary Arts and I’m passionate about cooking and I pride myself on my excellent food and immaculate presentation. A residents favourite is my Lamb Chops.


Kamilla Kruzlak

I have been the Kitchen Assistant at The Moorings three years. I was originally employed as a Carer for 3 years but I craved a new challenge after I developed a passion for cooking and so far I have made great progress in my current role.

I have a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care and due to my background as a Carer, I have a great relationship with the residents.

Yvonne new

Yvonne Castell

I’m a Senior Care Assistant at The Moorings and have been here for 3 years. I take care of the general health and well being of the residents, administrate the medication and support other staff members. I have a Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care.

I’m highly skilled in CPR and have performed CPR for almost an hour alongside the paramedics. The paramedics said I did an excellent job!


Tyra Kilgallon

I have been a Care Assistant at The Moorings for 2 years and my duties include providing personal care and support to residents with a wide range of needs, illnesses and disabilities. I have a level 2 & 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care.

I turned to care work after having my son as I realised a sense of achievement in caring for another person. I believe I am good at looking after people and the residents find me helpful and feel I am a good listener. Residents have also commented that when I do a job, it is done quickly and efficiently.


Charlotte Clarke

I have been a Care Assistant at The Moorings for 2 years and I’m a fantastic team player. My duties include assisting the residents in personal care including washing, bathing, dressing and toilet needs. I especially enjoy the trips out and I have even taken the residents shopping on my day off. I love my job and all the residents are like my family.

I have a level 1 & 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care and I’m currently studying my level 3. My long term goal is to become a Care Home Manager.
